Vice Roulette is a free, unofficial fan site that invents silly challenges to do inside a video game. The challenges are for the game and nothing else. Do not attempt any of them in real life. Use the site and you are agreeing to what is on this page.

1. What this site is

Vice Roulette spins a dial and hands you a randomly chosen challenge for Grand Theft Auto V or Grand Theft Auto VI, whichever you pick. That is the whole product. It is free, it needs no account, and it is made for entertainment. It is not advice of any kind. The dares are not statements about what either game contains; the blog and the GTA 6 page report what Rockstar and the press have said, with the date it was checked, and can go out of date. There are no stakes, no prizes and no real money anywhere on this site; the roulette is a way of picking a dare and nothing else.

2. Not official, not affiliated

This is a fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. or any of their companies. Grand Theft Auto and GTA are trademarks of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., used here only to say what game the challenges are for. No file from the games, and no audio or code belonging to those companies, is used on this site. Names and marks from the games that appear in the artwork belong to Take-Two Interactive. The dares are not claims about what will be in the game; where the site reports what Rockstar has said, it says where and when it looked.

3. In the game, never in real life — the disclaimer

Every challenge on this site is written to be carried out by a character inside a video game. Several of them describe things that are illegal, dangerous, or both, if done by an actual person in the actual world. That is the joke, and it stops at the screen.

Inside the game, you are still bound by the game publisher's own terms of service, EULA and online rules. Nothing here overrides them, and a challenge that would break them is not a licence to break them. Play fair with other players.

4. Age

The site is not directed at children. Both games carry 18 ratings in most countries, and the site is written for adults who play them. Do not use it if you are under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone; South African law treats anyone under 18 as a child, and the US COPPA rule, anyone under 13. Whether you are old enough to play either game is between you, its rating and whoever bought it. The challenges themselves are deliberately kept mild.

5. The challenges themselves

The challenge text, the categories and the code of this site are ours, and so is the artwork, apart from the names and marks from the games that appear in it. You are welcome to:

What you may not do is copy the collection itself: scraping, bulk downloading or republishing the challenge database, in whole or in substantial part, to run your own generator from it. Ask first and the answer may well be yes.

6. Fair use of the site

Do not attack the site, break into it, hammer it with automated requests, or use it to distribute anything harmful. Do not pass it off as your own or as official. That is the entire list.

7. Suggestions you send in

If you email a challenge idea, you are giving permission for it to be used, edited and published on this site for free and for as long as the site exists. There is no payment, no credit line and no obligation to use it. Do not send anything you do not own or are not free to give away.

8. The site is provided as it is

Vice Roulette is offered free, with no warranty of any kind. It may be wrong, it may be unavailable, it may change completely, and it may stop existing without notice. Challenges are written against a game that is not out yet, so some will not match the finished thing. Links you share are meant to keep working, but nothing here is promised to be permanent.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Inyonitech Solutions (Pty) Ltd, which runs this site, is not liable for any loss or damage arising from using it, from being unable to use it, or from acting on anything it says, including anything you choose to do in a game or outside one. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

10. Links to other places

Where the site links somewhere else, that place is not ours, we do not vet it, and we are not responsible for what it does or says.

11. Changes to these terms

These terms can change. The current version is always the one on this page, with the date at the top. Carrying on using the site after a change means you accept the new version.

12. Disputes and your local law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and the courts of South Africa have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere, any consumer protection that the law of your country gives you and that cannot be excluded still applies. If something is wrong, email first: almost anything is easier to fix than to argue about.

13. Rights holders

If you own rights in something used here and believe it should not be, email hello@viceroulette.com with the detail and it will be taken down or corrected promptly. No lawyers needed.
