GTA 6 news
Every confirmed GTA 6 side activity, turned into a challenge
Last updated: 6 September 2026
24 activities, every one of them confirmed by Rockstar or reliable reporting — nothing speculated, nothing from a leak. Each one below gets a named challenge and a difficulty tier (Tourist, Local or Menace), plus one clearly-marked bonus challenge built around a mechanic every mainline GTA game has had, so when GTA 6 lands on 19 November 2026 you have something to actually do with the list, not just a list. Spin the GTA challenge generator now for the GTA 5 version of the same idea, playable today.
How this list is sourced
Every activity here comes from Rockstar's own previews or from outlets that covered the gameplay reveal directly, including GamesRadar's 28 August 2026 activity roundup and GTABase's own confirmed-features tracking. If it's not on this page, it isn't confirmed — that's a deliberate rule, not an oversight, and it's why this list is shorter than some of the "everything GTA 6 might have" roundups elsewhere.
Water
| Activity | Challenge | Tier |
|---|---|---|
| Jet skiing | Keys Crossing — jet ski from a Leonida Keys start point to the mainland without dismounting | Local |
| Kayaking | Slow Water — kayak a full stretch of open water with no motor vehicle in sight | Tourist |
| Airboating | Swamp Run — airboat a route through Grassrivers without touching dry land | Local |
| Scuba diving | Below the Surface — one full dive, no surfacing until the air runs out | Local |
| Swimming | Open Water — swim between two points further apart than looks comfortable | Tourist |
| Fishing | One That Didn't Get Away — land a catch before doing anything else that session | Tourist |
Sport and body
| Activity | Challenge | Tier |
|---|---|---|
| Basketball | Streetball — play a full game on a public court, win or lose honestly | Tourist |
| Boxing | Glass Jaw — take a match without throwing the first punch | Local |
| Wrestling | Tap Out — wrestle a stranger, no weapons, no running | Local |
| Pool | Corner Pocket — win a game of pool at a bar you've never been to before | Tourist |
| Mini golf | Par for Leonida — play a full round, no shortcuts on any hole | Tourist |
| Gym workouts | Gym Rat — seven straight in-game days with a workout before anything else | Menace |
| Shooting range | Dead Eye — post a range score, then beat it in the same sitting | Local |
Wheels and air
| Activity | Challenge | Tier |
|---|---|---|
| Dirt biking | Dirt Cheap — cross a region using only a dirt bike, no roads if you can help it | Local |
| Car racing | Checkered Flag — enter a race and finish it, no restarting after a bad corner | Local |
| Dirt racing | Mud Flap — enter a dirt race and finish outside the lead without quitting | Tourist |
| Rentable e-scooters | Scooter Tourist — cross a whole region on rented e-scooters only | Local |
| Base jumping | Leap of Faith — climb something tall on foot, then base jump off it | Menace |
Spin the generator for the GTA 5 equivalent of this whole section right now — the driving and stunt dares cover the same territory in a game you can actually play today.
Nightlife and screens
| Activity | Challenge | Tier |
|---|---|---|
| Clubbing with tipping | Tip Everyone — one full night out, tip every performer, no fights | Tourist |
| In-game TV | Couch Lock — sit through a full in-game broadcast without skipping it | Tourist |
| VR headset | Second Reality — use the in-game VR headset before doing anything else that session | Tourist |
Trouble
| Activity | Challenge | Tier |
|---|---|---|
| Carjacking | Five-Minute Owner — carjack a vehicle, then abandon it inside five minutes for a better one | Local |
| Armed robbery | Masked Man — pull off a masked liquor-store holdup and get clear | Menace |
Every item in this section is in the game only, never in real life.
Hunting and the outdoors
Hunting is confirmed, and Mount Kalaga National Park's forested, mountainous terrain is the most likely home for it based on what's been shown of the region so far, though Rockstar hasn't restricted it to one specific area. This page frames hunting as a dare, not a guide to in-game systems — for the mechanics themselves once they're known, GTABase and Fandom's wikis will be the ones tracking every detail; we're not trying to compete with that.
What we deliberately left out
Tennis is confirmed not playable, despite tennis courts existing in the world — it doesn't appear anywhere on this page, on purpose. Anything requiring online or multiplayer is not confirmed at launch, so nothing above depends on it. Planes, casinos and property or business empires are all unconfirmed one way or the other — no challenge here assumes any of them exist, because assuming would mean guessing, and this page's whole point is not guessing.
Spin a GTA 6 dare instead
Until 19 November 2026, every challenge above is aspirational — there's no GTA 6 to play yet. What is playable right now is the GTA challenge generator's full GTA 5 side, 200 dares across all eight categories, built the same way this list was: named challenges with real rules, not vague suggestions. The GTA 6 challenge generator is the version of this site set up specifically for launch day, ready for the moment these challenges stop being aspirational.
FAQ
What side activities are confirmed in GTA 6?
Jet skiing, kayaking, airboating, scuba diving, swimming, fishing, basketball, boxing, wrestling, pool, mini golf, gym workouts, a shooting range, dirt biking, car and dirt racing, rentable e-scooters, base jumping, clubbing with tipping, watching in-game TV, a VR headset, carjacking, armed robberies and hunting — 24 named activities, all sourced from Rockstar's own previews and outlets covering the gameplay reveal.
Is there fishing and hunting in GTA 6?
Yes, both are confirmed. Hunting is expected to centre on the Mount Kalaga National Park region based on its terrain, though Rockstar hasn't restricted it to one area specifically.
Is tennis playable in GTA 6?
No. Tennis courts exist in the game's world, but tennis itself has been confirmed as not playable — it's deliberately left off every list on this page.
Can you play basketball in GTA 6?
Yes, basketball is on Rockstar's own confirmed activity list, alongside boxing, wrestling, pool and mini golf as the game's other sport and body activities.
When can I actually do these?
From 19 November 2026, when GTA 6 releases on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Until then, every challenge on this page is aspirational — the GTA 5 dial on this site is playable right now if you want something to spin today.
