GTA 6 price and platforms: what's confirmed

GTA 6 costs $79.99, or $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition, according to Rockstar's pre-order press release of 24 June 2026. Rockstar's own GTA VI page confirms the rest: GTA 6 launches 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and pre-orders come with the Vintage Vice City Pack. No PC date has been announced.

What does GTA 6 cost?

$79.99 for the standard edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition. Both prices come from the press release Rockstar issued through Take-Two on 24 June 2026, “Rockstar Games Announces Pre-Orders for Grand Theft Auto VI”, which says the game launches on 19 November 2026 “for $79.99” and that the Ultimate Edition “will be available for $99.99”. They were checked against it on 24 September 2026. The same release said pre-orders would open at midnight local time on 25 June 2026. The storefront you pre-order from shows the price in your own currency, and this page won't guess a conversion for you.

Confirmed platforms

PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar's page lists both, says the game plays best on PlayStation 5, and lists no older consoles.

The GTA challenge generator already has 200 GTA 5 dares ready right now, on whatever you're already playing on, while you wait for GTA 6 itself.

Is GTA 6 coming to PC?

No PC release has been dated, and Rockstar's GTA VI page does not mention PC. Rockstar's recent titles have typically reached PC roughly a year after console launch — a pattern worth noting, not a promise — so there's nothing to plan a purchase around yet if PC is your platform.

Editions and pre-order bonuses

Rockstar's page names two editions. Its panel for the standard edition says: “Get the standard edition of Grand Theft Auto VI along with pre-order bonuses.” The Ultimate Edition is described as “an exclusive collection of items threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia’s story”, and its Learn More panels list what it contains: a ’95 Grotti Cheetah, a Shitzu Squalo, a ’67 Vapid Dominator Buggy and more. The page lists one pre-order bonus, the Vintage Vice City Pack, shows it with a ’55 Vapid Stanier sedan, and says pre-ordering brings “unique benefits that flash back to when the neon burned brightest”.

Rockstar's pre-order press release of 24 June 2026 adds four details: that every pre-order and purchase made before 20 November 2026 includes the Vintage Vice City Pack; that digital pre-orders also get a free month of GTA+; that digital pre-orders can pre-load from 12 November 2026; and that the physical version contains a download code inside the box.
